This antique medical specimen has a gorgeous, deep patina. The calvarium is cut rather crudely, likely done by a medical student with little experience. The mandible is unarticulated. Most of the dentition is missing, some of which was lost ante-mortem and some post-mortem. The orbits and nasal cavity are very well-preserved. There is an old, hand-written label on the back of the skull, which is likely an old inventory number. Even with the damage, this piece retains a lot of character, and would make a unique and beautiful addition to any collection.
