This human skull has a beautiful appearance overall, and exhibits evidence of healed trauma to the right parietal bone. If you look at photo #4, you can see the healed area that extends from the top of the right temporal bone, through the cut in the calvarium, up towards the top rear of the right parietal bone. The size of the trauma appears to have been quite large, and it shows an advanced degree of healing. The skull seems to have a light lacquer throughout, giving it a somewhat glossy appearance. Most of the dentition is present, and the mandible is unarticulated. There is some light damage, such as the broken right zygomatic arch. This wonderful specimen is quite stunning, and would make a unique and intriguing addition to any collection.
