This charming human skull has a lovely, ivory patina. This piece was prepared by Candent, and the original stamp is still present on the left parietal bone. There are several small osteomas on the frontal bone, which are benign bone tumors. The calvarium is cut and secured with pins and hooks, while the mandible is articulated on springs. There is a small cutout on the right side of the maxilla, which was done to reveal some of the interior structures. The orbits and nasal cavity are extremely well-preserved. Most of the dentition is missing post-mortem. This beautiful medical specimen would be perfect for anatomical study, and would make a great addition to any collection.
